Founded in 1925 Milne Studios was a very successful Portrait Studio operated by Charles G. Milne. His son Gilbert A. Milne worked with him in the Toronto Studio until he joined the Canadian Navy as a Photographer in 1941. Gilbert's WW11 Naval Commission resulted in his historic Naval and D Day photographs which were published in his book "HMCS" to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the D Day landing. There are currently over 1 million Milne negatives at the City of Toronto Archives.

Growing up in a creative photographic family, David Milne worked with his father, Gilbert and brother, Michael learning photography in the family business. David then attended the world renowned Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California and following his education then returned home to work with his father.

Today David operates Milne Studios in Toronto offering a complete Digital Photographic service working with numerous creative contacts in the publishing and digital sectors. The photographs on this site offer a small representation of David's recent work and a few iconic images from his past including the images of Bob Marley and his images of Anthony Quinn at his studio in Rhode Island.

"I Spy With My Little Eye Hockey," and "I Spy With My Little Eye Baseball" are both best selling picture puzzle books for children created by David Milne. They are published by Sleeping Bear Press, Michigan, USA.
